MILAN and LAKE COMO

Where modernity meets charm

A cosmopolitan metropolis with a European flair, Milan is considered one of the world’s fashion, design and finance capitals, constantly churning out new innovation and trends.
It is a city in which the most contemporary buildings coexist in harmony with the Duomo and the Madonnina statue, which dominates the city from above, in a frenetic succession of sites that include the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele shopping arcade (known as the city’s “salotto” or “salon”), the famous Quadrilatero della Moda fashion district (the most exclusive high-end shopping area), the Castello Sforzesco (Sforza Castle), Santa Maria delle Grazie (Church of Our Lady of Graces) which houses Leonardo Da Vinci’s world-famous mural of The Last Supper, the Pinacoteca di Brera (Brera Art Gallery), theatres and many bars and clubs.
Not far from the city of Milan is Lake Como, an area acclaimed by the greatest poets of Romanticism (Manzoni, Byron, Stendhal) and a luxury tourist spot celebrated for its spectacular scenery at the foot of the Pre-Alps and the historic villas that line its shores.
